I've read some posts about this but I'm still unsure of what to do. I have forms that have tasks assigned to specific people/teams. They can log in using their existing Named User accounts (with their AD log in). However, some forms are assigned to a user based upon a particular field. If a user manually enters the email address of the person they want to send it to, the task gets suspended because it has an issue with assigning the task. If I assign them a Participant License (based upon their email address) then it gets assigned and the user has to log in with their email address, even though they already have a Named User license. Is there a way to connect the email address to their Named User license? This is Forms 10.2. We don't deal with LDAP accounts in the repository so my only experience with that is through Forms.

Forms Participants licenses connected to Named Users in Forms

Shannon, the issue is actually because a Named User accounts username is not their email address, where as the username of a Participant licensed user is their email address.
So in the Administration Console you need to find out what the username is for the person you are trying to assign it to and use that format. If you are indeed assigning it to someone with a Participant License assigned to them, then you can use their email address to assign it to them.
Thank you! Looks like I'm going to be stuck reassigning tasks.
So, the "Named Users" group is a subset of the "Participant License" group, right? And, if that's the case, why can't everyone be assigned a user task using their email address or does the "Named User" status user name override the "Participant" user name when tasks are assigned? Also, how does a user become a "Named User"? Is it just because they've been explicitly assigned "Access Rights" to one or more forms business processes?
