upgrading from 8.3 to 10.3

I get an error 1402 whenever trying to install 10.3.1 with 8.3 already on the system, or when trying to uninstall the current 8.3 installation. The machines where I installed 10.3 from 9 all went fine, whether on windows 7 or windows 10. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Thanks Chris,

I was successfully able to uninstall the 8.3 client and related utilities using that. I then tried the normal install for 10.3 which failed. I installed the client only, then went back and installed scanning, which both worked fine. But snapshot for some reason still will not install, and I don't get an error code, just a generic message saying the installation couldn't complete. I don't think this user NEEDS snapshot, but still, not ideal.
