Updates to Entry Names

I'm using metadata fields to define the name of documents when I import them - I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing to get LF to update the document name if the field gets changed? Pretty sure it's not possible but am in need of the usual reality confirmation.

Technically this is possible, but it would require running a Workflow every time those documents are changed. The workflow could make sure the name matches that field, but the downside is that you can't trigger workflows based on changes to a specific field so it would have to run any time a change is made and that could be a bit much if users are making a lot of changes.

Thanks! Big tradeoff for a small win. I'll keep dreaming though.
