Automate Assignment of User Licenses

We want to automatically assign Forms participant licenses to all employees. Is there a way we can automate this with Laserfiche Rio 10.3.1? I would ideally like a way to synchronize our Rio license assignment to an Active Directory group or to a database table.

If there isn't a way in 10.3.1 is that something that will be developed in the future?

This can be accomplished through Active Directory groups and rules in the Laserfiche Directory Server, just make sure you have your AD configured as an identity provider.

The rules are evaluated top-down, so if you want to create a rule for both Participant and Full licenses, make sure you put whichever one you want to take precedence at the bottom.

For example, in our environment all users get a Participant license unless they belong to a group that should get a Named User license instead.

Settings > Identity Providers > Rules

We've been using this feature in Rio since at least 10.2
