LF Forms Public Portal

Can someone share any guidance or advice for configuration of LF Forms Portal. We have a customer who is already using LF Rio 10.1 internally. Now they want to make forms available publically. So what needs to be done and what are the precautions need to be taken. Also please tell about what all needs to be done after the installation.

Hi Shibin,

From a product installation standpoint, all that needs to happen is to re-license the Laserfiche Forms Server with one containing the Forms portal feature. You can do this in the Laserfiche Rio Directory Server - after updating the master license, you can allocate the Forms portal instance to a new or existing Laserfiche Forms Server and then generate a new license file. This will allow the Forms Server to use portal functionality.

 

Keep in mind that you will also need to ensure that external users can access the website in the first place, so this may involve updating your current firewall configurations.

After updating the master license, should we update the server license or only the forms licence?

If the only change to the system is adding Forms Portal, you should only need to update the Forms application license.
