Can participant users delete existing attachments?

Just a quick question here. It isn't completely clear in the help file. Lets say that participant user #1 adds an attachment and then routes the form to the next step. Participant user #2 opens the form. Can Participant #2 delete an upload attachment that participant #1 made?

As long as the field isn't read-only for the second user, they should be able to delete the attachment. I believe the differences between Named Users and Participants relates more to design, monitoring, reports, team management, etc. and shouldn't impact what they can/cannot do within a Forms user task.
