8.3.2 to 10.3.1 Repository upgrade failure

asked on March 29, 2018

We have a client that we were moving from 8.3.2 to the latest 10.3.1 build and got stuck at the repository upgrade step after mounting their repository. That step wouldn't finish.

Checked the Laserfiche Admin Event Logs and it was full of errors (see attached image).

Went backwards to ver 9.2.1 and the repository upgrade went through fine.

Anyone seen something similar?

Haven't attempted updating the 9.2.1 to 10.3.1 yet.

Ran into this again with another client. Same error in Event log and getting this message when trying to login to the Admin Console.
"Error Message: The repository cannot be mounted at the current time because it is being upgraded. Please wait until the upgrade completes. 9523 "

This appears to be an issue with ver 10 expecting a version of SQL higher than what is even bundled with the ver 10 install.
Updated their SQL 2008 R2 to 2012 and the final SQL update process went through OK and was able to login.

Is there a "specific" service pack of SQL 2008 that is required for the ver 10 update to run? If there is, it really should be specified and checked in the prerequisites scan.
