We had our datacenter go down due to a power outage this past weekend.  When trying to access LF following the outage and the server reboot, we got a hardware fingerprint error. for a few of our clients including ourselves.  Now, that in and of itself is not a problem as we were able to refresh the licenses and be back in action. However, what we found interesting is that the hardware fingerprint did not change at all even though the error message said it had.  Our datacenter claims nothing had changed in terms of configuration upon reboot of the servers.

 

So my question is this, what other factors are we missing that MUST have changed for this error message to occur?  We would like to know this to ensure we can train our datacenter on understanding and monitoring this issue should this ever happen again.
