Laserfiche Discussions / Forum for Public

asked on February 15, 2018

From what I can understand Laserfiche Discussions would take some tweaking to get it setup as a forum / comment / blog tool. Can this scenarios work?

Full user creates post/conversation, public guests can see the post (no login needed, like Web Link's auto login), and logged in retrieval users can comment on the post.

In other words, how can I get Laserfiche Discussions to operate like Laserfiche Answers with a public component.

Hi Luke,

That's an interesting approach. Currently you need to be a full or retrieval Laserfiche user to sign into the discussions site, although you can use the FAQ functionality of Forms to display specific answers to public users when accessing a specific forms process. There's no current mechanism for making the discussions site itself publicly available.

Hey Justin!

Have you heard any movement on this or anything else related to having the "local" discussions product function in a more similar fashion to this one? (Laserfiche's)
