Attempting to import .pdf or .msg files results in "The Files Exists"

asked on February 8, 2018

Hello:

When attempting to import any pdf file or any e-mail (.msg) file I am receiving the following error:

This company recently moved from a cloud based version of the software to an on-premise server.

They are running version 9.1.

The server is on 2012 and the sql version is 2012r2.

The client is running on the 2012 server.  Has anyone seen this issue before?

If you click on Details what does it show you?  Can you post it?

This usually happens when multiple volumes share the same path, so multiple documents try to use the same path. You should check your repository configuration.

Here are the options listed:

Here is the path listed:

And here is the folder where the volume is located.

I can import:

.txt

.doc

.docx

.TIFF

.jpg

Pretty much anything other than .pdf's and .msg files.

Do you only have one volume?

This issue could also happen if the repository is restored and the database is slightly older than the volume backup.

Yes, we only have the one volume.  It was transferred from one server to another server.

If the volume is corrupted, is there a way to fix it?  I don't have a backup as this was transferred from another IT firm that had been hosting it in a Citrix / Cloud environment.
