Question

RME event not running

asked on December 21, 2017

In an effort to start using the Records Management process I have create 3 new Records Series:

2 weeks ago I set the Filing Date to 12/20/2017 on 1 of the Test Record Series.

I was then able to use the Record Management Search option to identify the RME 1 Year series as Due for Cutoff on 12/21/2017:

I checked the Record Series on 12/21/2017 and nothing has been Cutoff and I don't see any Events on the Event Logs of the Laserfiche Server. Is there a process that needs to be turned on on the Laserfiche Server to trigger this Cutoff Event/Process?

What is the name of the Source for the RME Events I should be looking for on the Application Events or the Administrative Events on the Laserfiche Server?

I have set and reset the Filing Date and the Cutoff events several time all all of these Record Series and haven't had success yet.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

The records lifecycle actions are not automated.  The dates you set up are when records become eligible for certain actions, it's still up to the records manager to perform the tasks.  See also this recent question: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/131331/How-to-auto-delete-archive

If you are expecting it to automatically cut off the records, that is not the way records management works.  Records management will figure all the dates and a RM search will tell you what is eligible for cutoff or destruction.  But it will not do those actions for you.

If you are looking to automate records management, it will need to be done with workflows and potentially SDK scripting depending on how complicated you want to get.
