Found some information in this answers post https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/114280/102-upgrade-error

Running the utility here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed  and then attempting to reinstall the program may resolve the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion; I ran the utility and it found nothing to remove. I found nothing related to Laserfiche in Programs and Features or in the Registry.  It is brand new PC without any Laserfiche related products installed.

If you are running the install using the files from a shared network folder, copy the Support, Client, and OCR folders from the installation folder to the machine locally and then installing from there. This should rectify the error when trying to commit changes.

I had the same problem and got the same error.

When the file on the network share, you will need to right click it and select Run As Administrator. You will also need to do the same even on a local drive. Old program don't prompt for evlated level to install.

Hope this helps.
