Suspended Email Task - Missing Email Address

posted on September 5, 2017 Show version history

We have a number of suspended tasks in a relatively complicated process.  The tasks were Email Tasks suspended due to a missing email value.  How can I inject an email address into the process so that it can retry and finish the process?  The email task is part of sub-process kicked off by a Start Event.  I don't want to disrupt all of the other work that has gone into the process by many other users.

Forms 11 has added the functionality to allow process administrators to edit the instance variable values to add the missing email address so you will no longer need to update the database, see more from https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1014265/list-of-changes-for-laserfiche-forms-11.

Thanks Rui.  I figured updating the database was my only option.  The form didn't have a variable for the email address, but I have modified it now to have it as a variable.  I'll look at the link that you sent and see if I can make something work.

Hi Rob,

Is the email address configured with a field variable, and the variable has no value in that certain instance? If so, you could possibly update the field variable value in database, like https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/120717/Changing-username-variable-to-reassign-forms-in-a-process
