Just noticed "Avante Basic Forms" showed up in my license key list, does anyone know what this is?
This is documented in the 10.2.1 list of changes for Forms. See them here.
Basically all Avante and Rio customers, when they upgrade to 10.2.1 will receive Forms Basic at no additional charge. It is restricted in features as outlined in the list of changes I mentioned above.
So Basic and Essentials are the same thing?
Yes, they probably need to update the KB article so it matches their naming scheme.
Forms Essentials is the correct name, we're looking into why the license generator says Basic. The license should be the same though. Thanks for pointing this out.

I'd like to get a newsletter out to our other clients (Thanks for the heads up Joel) regarding this exciting news.....however I would like to wait until after the naming is fixed so I don't have to explain the issue.
