You could create a custom quick search to easily search for an entry ID using the top bar quick search. The first image shows where to access the Manage custom quick search dialog. From there, add a custom quick search that takes in the entry ID as the search term and runs an entry ID search. Simply choose this search type and enter in you entry ID in the quick search bar.

This custom quick search will only be available to your user unless you copy the attribute and paste it into the everyone group attributes. There are plenty of posts describing how to do that.

I got it. Thank you for the link.

But I rather asked in a perspective of end users and thought there might be a way to find a document just by using the client program's interface, not through the advanced search syntax. The quick search did NOT find with endtryId.

Actually, this question is related with my other question: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/117930/Share-a-document-link-and-open-the-folder-path-in-the-client-application-of-the-recipient

I thought if there was an easy way to find a document with entry id, then a user can send this entry id to a recipient's email so that the recipients can easily find this document.

Any other idea for sharing an LF document easily with other LF user?

Many thanks. I always appreciate you guys' quick and thorough response.

Please don't post duplicate questions. If your questions are related, then please indicate so in the initial post.

Are you using the desktop or the web client to view the documents? The desktop client downloads the Word document when you click a link from the email message.
