My client is having an issue where anytime they open LFScanning no matter what folder they open it up in, it defaults to the root location of the repository which they don't have rights to store in there so it always asks for the authentication when storing. We looked at the user's defaults and no where does it have a default saved scans location to change. We have made sure they navigate to the folder they wish to store in and they can create new documents in the folder, so we are not sure why LFScanning doesn't recognize the folder it was started in. They are on version 9.2.1.635. Has anyone else encountered this? Thanks!

Scanning should auto populate the path to the current folder open in the LF client. There may be a way to force this in a config file or registry entry but as far as I am aware there is no way to force a default path in the standard/basic scanning interface.
We usually just restrict the users access rights to scan directly to the repository root.
Exactly, the issue is that LFScanning is setting the root as default no matter where we open it. The user does not want this.
I would contact support because it sounds similar to this issue in LF 9.1.
Have you tried clearing the cache or doing a clean install? Does this happen with all Workstations/LF Accounts/Windows Acccounts? I have seen instances where the Windows security settings won't allow changes to be saved until some adjustments have been made.
