Assign Community User Licenses with CSV file

asked on March 6, 2017 Show version history

The Laserfiche Directory Server documentation states here that you can import a CSV file to create user accounts and assign licenses:

https://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/Laserfiche/10/en-US/administration/#../Subsystems/LFDS/Content/ManagingAccounts.htm#tabs-3

The licenses currently listed are:

  • Full license
  • Retrieval license
  • Restricted license

Will LFDS be able to assign Community Users (or Education Community Users) with a CSV file? Thanks!

I would like to know the same thing but with Educational Users in my case.

Yes, though it does require 10.2 or higher. See documentation.

Thanks Miruna!

Does using the CSV Import convert users to Laserfiche Users, or alter their user type?

Scenario: Users were imported from AD but not configured to synchronize and are currently without a license. It appeared the paragraph talking about csv import specifically states Laserfiche Users.

Import does not modify existing users. The CSV file method applies to Laserfiche users and SAML users. AD users can be added in bulk through AD synchronization.

Are these users marked as exempt from synchronization?
