Workflow fires on wrong entry in path

asked on February 27, 2017

My workflow is firing on the wrong entry in the path. See scenario attached:

Are you referring at the starting rule?

Your screenshots seem to be of a conditional decision inside the workflow and it looks to be correct. The starting entry is a folder, its path is \Accounting\Purchasing\Pending Receipt and I'm guessing it has no field values.

I have tried changing this to "Equals", "Contains" and "Is in" all with the same result. The workflow fires so the issue is not with the starting rule.

I updated the screenshots to show the index fields.

Oh, sorry, I was reading the description wrong. The entry is the "Pending Receipt" folder and its path is "\Accounting\Purchasing\". The condition would need "contains" or "starts with" to succeed. If those don't work, please open a support case, indicate the version and attach screenshots with the condition evaluation.

try entry path "contains" instead of "is in"

I believe that your starting rule is working, but it is triggering on the wrong entry I am not sure if you are triggering on Entry changed or Entry Created but it should be something like this (make sure to have the last "\". Your workflow is seeing the parent folder (Pending Receipt) as the Starting Entry and not the folder inside of it.
