I have a weird one for you. Whenever I generate pages of a document (in this case, an outlook email), in some instances, the email itself will actually print (as in, a hard, physical copy is made)!
In these cases, it’s the email that prints (not attachments). It doesn’t always happen thought - I’ll generate pages in a batch, but maybe only 10% will print physical copies.
I have no idea what caused this, as this never happened before. It just started Monday. Nothing has changed with the printer that is doing the printing and I changed no settings on my workstation.

Generating Pages Physically Prints the Document!

When you generate pages in Laserfiche for non-PDF electronic documents, it will call into Snapshot.
Is Snapshot installed locally on the PC? Is it configured to be the default printer? Do you have the "enable redirect printing" option enabled under the Snapshot Printing Preferences > Redirect Printing tab?
Hi Alexander.
Yes, snapshot is installed, but it is not the default printer (the printer that is printing is). Enable Redirect Printing is NOT enabled.
However, I am still confused as to why only 0-10% in a batch actually get physically printed if it's a setting issue...
This happens for me, occasionally, as well. In looking for patterns, it appears it might be only if I have another Word document open on my desktop. (It's always a Word document that prints when I attempt Generate Pages)
My printers are not installed locally at my station. My Snapshot defaults are not that it would be the default. I had another Word doc open and had just printed to a networked Xerox printer. Redirect printing is not enabled.
I would like to have this resolved, as well.
FWIW, we're experiencing the same behavior...only with PDFs...very intermittent. Anyone have a solution yet?
I'm having the same issue on 10.2 she will generate pages for an email, it will print to her physical printer and never finish generating (we have to click cancel). I checked and redirect was off and we even changed her default printer to snapshot and it still printed to her physical printer. Any idea?
Is there any information about this issue from anyone at Laserfiche?
changing the default printer fixed my issue, so I haven't heard anything further.
My customer is reporting that even after they set Snapshot to be their default printer, they still are having the issue.
Anyone from LF want to provide some input?
