Read Only Setting Shrinks the Date Field of a Table

asked on December 21, 2016 Show version history

When using a date type field in a table, I am having an issue where the date field gets shrunk down to be unreadable if the field is marked as read only.  It works just fine and sizes correctly if it's not read only.

The table width is set at 100%, and then each column is set to a fixed amount.  (See screenshot).

Any settings that I may be missing, or perhaps a CSS/Java solution out there?

Thanks

To follow up, my reseller hasn't been able to figure out what was causing the issue either.

I did find a work around though.  For some reason, if I created a second column with a date type of field, that new column wasn't affect by the issue and didn't shrink.  So I just replaced the misbehaving column with a working one.

I never did find a reason why that one was being weird.

Was there any custom CSS on the form that may have affected that field? If you have the original business process xml, you can give that to your reseller and they can open a case with Laserfiche Support to examine it (granted your reseller saw the same issue when they imported your business process into their Forms system).

I sent the reseller the xml file, and he wasn't able to see anything either.

The only Custom CSS on this form are for a couple of fields later on, and all they are doing are aligning those fields. There isn't any CSS affecting the table.

Please contact your Laserfiche reseller to open a support case. I wasn't able to reproduce the issue using the default form layout options and your table configuration.

Make sure to export the business process as an .xml file and provide that to your reseller so your specific form can be examined.
