My question is related to my prior post about best practices for updating forms and business processes while production versions of both are still running. https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/105662/Best-practice-for-modifying-forms--business-process-in-Production#105731
Based on this copy and revise process, I noticed that I now have several forms associated with the business process that are no longer valid since they were associated with an older business process. If I delete the form within the business process I am revising, does that completely delete the form (thus affecting completed instances of the form) or does it just delete its association with the business process?
i.e.
Form has 3 versions, 1, 2, 3
Bus Process has 3 versions, A, B, C
Forms are related to business processes in this way A1, B2, C3
What I see when I go to edit business process C is forms 1, 2, 3
Can I delete forms 1 and 2 from business process C without affecting completed instances of A&B? A&B and their associated forms 1&2 are no longer in production.
This leads to the question regarding whether it is necessary to keep the prior production business processes and forms. What is the best practice in this situation?
