Question

Dates entered into Form Subtract one day for the Metadata Field

asked on October 20, 2016

Version 10.1 - Entering information into a form and metadata is different than entry.

These are the dates that I entered into the form

I have no Javascript for these fields and the dates are set to be MM/dd/yyyy

When I go into the metadata fields for the submission ALL the dates are one day less than originally entered.

When I look at the tokens in the workflow - the metadata has changed to subtract a day off of all dates.

Note that the "Track Tokens - has a date of 10/20 - but the submission date is 10/19

Workflow Server and Forms Server are on the same day and timezone.

Any ideas why this is happening? Any fixes?

It seems like timezone issue. Please take a look at this.

Please note that the servers were on the same timezone - but since the forms publishing options showed Pacific Time (2 hour difference - not a day?) it was causing the date to change.  The timezone has been changed to reflect the correct timezone and the dates appear to be fixed.

Thanks for the resolution.

I was having the exact same problem with a very simple form whereby template fields being populated by forms was subtracting one day.  Sounds like a bug.  When I changed from Pacific time to Eastern,  the problem went away.
