Please try running setup.exe from the DirectoryServer folder instead of using the autorun and let us know if the prerequisite gets installed

There is an issue we are investigating with detection of Failover Cluster feature failing sometimes when the install is launched from the autorun (reference number: 149723).

Installing by running setup.exe directly should workaround the issue.

Hi All,

The case was opened and the same was guided.

The workaround works to install Directory Server by running setup from Directory Server folder.

Thanks for interests and assistance.

hello Sufyan

Before you can create a failover cluster, you must install the Failover Clustering feature on all servers that you want to include in the cluster. This section provides instructions for installing this feature.

Note that the Failover Clustering feature is included in server products such as Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise and Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter. The Failover Clustering feature is not included in Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard or Windows Web Server 2008 R2.

Hi Mazahir,

Failover Clustering feature has been installed on all designated servers (Directory servers).

The Operating system used is Windows server 2012 R2 Standard.

hello Sufyan

please go through the following KB https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1013718/directory-server-10-configuration-information-for-windows-failover-clustering-

In a Windows Server 2012-based failover cluster, you may need to install the following Microsoft update:

Hi Sufyn,

please open a support case with support.laserfiche.com and attach the Operational trace event log (from Applications and Services Logs > Laserfiche > Directory Service > Server), Admin event log (from Applications and Services Logs > Laserfiche > Directory Service > Web Admin), the Application event log (from Windows Logs) and the System event log (from Windows Logs).

All 4 logs should be unfiltered and saved as .evtx files. If they are too large to attach to the case, please make sure to zip them up first.

It seems, it is a common issue where some other client also faced.

Thanks and regards,
