How to Properly configure Network Load Balancing

Hi ,

Please let us know for proper configuration of servers .

We have Clustered Network Load Balance for laserfiche Web Server 1,2,DR.

Note: DR is on different Network .

 

Forms has been configured with clustered IP on three servers.

Done smoke test for NLB , if stopped server 1,2 and DR running

but unable to access Forms !!

 

Kindly need help.

Hi Dory,

 

Steps has been taken care and working fine if server 1 or server 2 is either stopped.

Issue raised when both 1,2 stopped as DR is on different Network.

Hardware Requirements : All hosts in the cluster must reside on the same subnet !!

 

Need a work Around.

My understanding is that the single subnet requirement is so that the NLB server can detect when a node goes down.  If you are only using it to load balance a web application, you should be able to use a reverse proxy setup (like Application Request Routing), which will give you more flexibility.  This thread has someone with your same dilemma.
