Question

Which iFilter is needed for Adobe 2015 Release (Continous)

asked on September 22, 2016

Hello,

I have a user who is experiencing an issue when trying to snapshot into LF. They get the error message:

Some electronic documents had no text created because Text Extraction is not supported for their file types.

This message led me to find that they could be missing an iFilter. I have not been able to find which iFilter needs to be installed for that version of Adobe. Does anyone have any knowledge about this?

Thanks!

With Snapshot, it can be configured to OCR the images that were generated from the PDF. However, if PDF iFilter text extraction is being done, then you can try installing the x64 iFilter we have on our FTP site at ftp://ftp.laserfiche.com/pub/Support/Utilities/PDFiFilter64installer.zip

Hi Alexander,

The user is on 32 bit Adobe, will the iFilter you provided work with that? Or do you happen to have the 32 bit one?

Thanks!

The x64 represents the Windows architecture. Are they not using 64 bit Windows, but 32 bit Windows instead?

Hi Alex, the link is dead for ftp://ftp.laserfiche.com/pub/Support/Utilities/PDFiFilter64installer.zip

Do you have the updated link?
