Hi Akhil,
Can you check whether in Control Panel > Programs and Features, "IIS URL Rewrite Module 2" is installed? If so, reinstall through the Microsoft Web Platform Installer. Especially if you had updated the operating system to Windows 10 this may not be working correctly. If it is not installed, please install it.
After the install or reinstall of this module, confirm that in IIS at the /QuickFields application level of the Default Web Site, the "URL Rewrite" feature is listed. Then reinstall Quick Fields Server. (If one or both of the client applications is installed, this does not need to be reinstalled.)
If after this the 404 error continues, please open a support case so we can get further details on the environment.
Thanks
Still receiving same error.
Have anyone resolved similar case !
Below is our IIS
If you actually open the URL Rewrite feature, are there any rules? From the screenshot in your initial post, the 404 error is coming from trying to access a physical directory which does not actually exist. The /Management part of the virtual directory is instead handled by a rewrite rule. There should in fact be three rules. If the rules are present, please open a support case for further troubleshooting.
On an unrelated note, it seems that you are accessing as a local user on the node1 machine; this is not supported and you will run into other issues once the 404 error is resolved. Please refer to this thread.
At this point if the issue is not resolved by reinstalling the Rewrite Module and Quick Fields Server, I do think you should open a support case for the 404 issue so we can get more details on the environment.
Hi James,
Thanks for your Interest.
Please find the below three rules image . Also you mean I need to Install Active Directory users and computers on my Machine for accessing Quick Field Server
Administrator console as it doesn't work with local user account, although am using Administrator account.
Hi,
Is the Issue related to Virtual Directory Settings in IIS as the engineer from LF Support ask for Advance settings of virtual directory in IIS.
I was not having any virtual directory , hence created manually as abc and was able to view Advance settings of same.
Also , this is our Advance settings of Quick Fields.
No; you can create virtual directories of an application in IIS which are not actually subfolders of the physical directory corresponding to the application. What you've done is let yourself now browse to [http://node1:80/QuickFields/abc], provided the physical directory you specified for '/abc' has a valid default page. It is completely unrelated to this issue.
As you've opened a case, we will continue troubleshooting there instead of in the thread, for consistency of information. We will update the thread upon resolution of the case for others who might encounter this.
As a last note: my comment earlier still stands; per the system information you'd provided in the case, the machine is not attached to a domain and you seem to be accessing as a local (non-domain) user. Through the case we will be able to resolve the HTTP 404 error, but once that is resolved, it is expected that most of the functionality of the admin console will still be unavailable. This is an unsupported configuration which will be addressed in the next release build of Quick Fields.
Hi,
Got HotFix for IIS7 - 980368 from Laserfiche Support and worked this time for Quick Field 10 Administration Console Acess without 404 error.
Have assigned Port- 8094 in Server Configuration utility and tried with Windows authettication and sa account as well. But not able to connect to server.
