Snapshot doesn't detect %(Current Document) and %(Current Folder) when document is opened from WA

asked on September 4, 2016 Show version history

We have clients who open electronic documents in WA and need to snapshot them after they finish working on them. The issue is that Snapshot cannot resolve the tokens when the document is opened through Web Access. Office Integration is installed.

Is this supposed to be working, or is it currently a planned feature?

If we use %(PrintJobName) as the document name, and import it into the folder that contains the electronic document, it detects that there's a document there with the same name and gets its metadata, but creates a new document (with a (2) appended to the name) as opposed to merging it with that existing document. This happens even though "Insert new pages" option is selected in Document Handling tab.

Hi, Ege,

Currently, some of the Tokens in Snapshot are only supported by the client. We are hoping to support all Snapshot Tokens in Web Access for our Version 11 release.

Cheers

Does anyone know if this was ever resolved?  We just had a cloud client trying to use snapshot last week and the "current folder" token would not populate.  I know this is the cloud vs. on-prem, but it seems like the cloud can read the "open folder" when in the Outlook tab. . .?

Hoping there's a resolution.  Thanks.
