Question

Upgrading to LF 10

asked on July 19, 2016

Hi everyone,

I am doing an upgrade from LF 9 to LF 10 and in one article in LF administration Guide and saw this part :

"When upgrading from Laserfiche 9.1 to 10, you do not need to perform a separate update of your search catalog. However, as the files involved in index queuing are not compatible between Laserfiche 9.1 and Laserfiche 9.2, we strongly recommend that you ensure that all indexing is complete and that there are no documents remaining in the index queue before performing the update."

My question is how do we  verify if the index queue is empty and if it is not how do we empty this?

Thanks

Kind Regards,

Ketsia

You can check this in the admin console. Expand the tree under the repository until you find the Index node. Check the properties on your index and then check the Status tab to see the queue size. If the search index status is abnormal for any reason, you can actually completely delete and recreate it from this section of the admin console as well (You could even do this after the upgrade if there was a problem upgrading the search index).
