cannot search by field after upgrading to Laserfiche 10

a client has just updated from LF Avante 9.2 to 10.1. After the update only newly entered documents in the system can be searched by metadata. All of the metadata is showing in LF but you cannot search on it say by field. If it was a new document entered after the upgrade you can search by field and find it. Nothing out of the ordinary or errors came up on the upgrade.

This is a problem with your index. You can delete the index and create a new one in the affected repository from Administration Console in the "Index" window. Simply right click on the index and select properties, delete the index and then create a new one . It may take a few minutes or more than an hour depending upon the amount of data in the repository.
