Question

Rio upgrade from 9.2 to 10

asked on June 15, 2016

We updated from 9.2 to 10 last night and now we are having issues in Workflow with authentication to the repository.  Our Workflow user can access fine via a client.  When we try to validate a profile in the Workflow Profile Manger, any connections that exist prior or created new, fail.  Connection Validation failed. Error: 'Invalid object name. [9019]'. [0458-WF0]

I guess now it wants user principal name which is the same as the email.  domain\user no longer works here.

This is not the expected behavior, though it is a valid workaround if you don't care to troubleshoot more. Some issues regarding the required username format were resolved in recent Directory Server and Laserfiche Server updates, so you could try patching to the latest version to see if that resolves your issue.

If you haven't tried already I would go in and edit the profile and type in the password again. I think I've seen this one before but it happened during an upgrade before 9.2 was even out.

Thanks Chris.  Yes we went as far as creating new profiles in order to delete existing and start over.  Same results.

One thing I am noticing in LFDS is that the directory server still shows the workflow version of 8.

Workflow does not need a license in Rio setups for version 8.3 and higher. So it's only available as version 8.0 for legacy purposes.

I am having a similar issue with a new install. This is my reintroduction to LF having not used it since 2001 as a reseller.

I get a "invalid object name. 9019 error" when validating the setup. See screenshots below...

Yes, it was. Unfortunately I did not document the solution being as this was an install on my laptop.

The resolution in the support case says the repository name was not correct.
