Question

Laserfiche Forms Auto Login

asked on June 14, 2016 Show version history

Is there a way to set up Laserfiche Forms so that when a user tries accessing it, it logs them in automatically (Windows credentials). I have this set up for Web Access but not sure if this is an option for Laserfiche Forms. If not, is there a way to eliminate having a user enter the domain before the username (domain\username), so that they just have to enter their Windows username and password?

Thank you.

Forms does not support single sign-on with Windows authentication at this time.

Note that if you set up Single-Sign On with Laserfiche Directory Server 10, users can click on a link that says "Log in using Windows Authentication" to pass credentials of the current user without the need to type in the username/password.

What name do I need to use as the server name for User Authentication on Forms? Is this the Laserfiche server or the DIrectory Server? Where can I look for this name? Will the ADD button (for groups) become available if the server name was correct?

Thanks.

Yes, it is the name of the Directory Service server. The Add button will become available once a LFDS server and licensing site are specified.

Does Laserfiche server have to be version 10+ for this option to work? We are currently on Laserfiche Server 9.2 and on Directory Server 10.0

Yes, the Laserfiche Server has to be on version 10 or higher for single sign-on to work.

I have Laserfiche Server on version 10 as well as the Directory Server. Are there instructions on how to make single sign on work?

I have not been able to set up Single-Sign On with Laserfiche Directory Server 10 so that users can click on a link that says "Log in using Windows Authentication" to pass credentials of the current user without the need to type in the username/password. Does anyone have instructions on how to do this?
