Forms is not holding the email addresses on the accounts. Every time it syncs, the email accounts are erased. Any insight on what I might be missing

Answer
Hi Chynna and Daniel, it is a known issue for Forms 9 that the user's email can only be synchronized from repository to Forms, if you change the email in Forms, the attribute in repository won't be updated. So the workaround is to add the attribute in the repository and configure the email there, then synchronize into Forms. This issue has been fixed with Forms 10: the changes made from Forms can be saved to repository.

You set the email from Forms not from repository right? Can you check whether there is an attribute for the user in repository calls "[forms]email" and what value of it? If is supposed to save the email back to the repository when you change it from Forms. Did you get error if you change the email in forms and save in events log?

I just checked and we didn't have the attribute setup. When I apply it in Forms, it doesn't automatically create the attribute? I can easily go into everyone's settings and apply it.
Hi Xiuhong & Chynna,
We've also seen this behavior at every site we've installed Forms so far. To get the emails to stick we've had to manually add the attribute in the admin console. As far as I'm aware there are no errors given by Forms when you try to save emails through the UI.
Cheers, Dan
