Question

PDF Forms and Quick Fields

asked on May 27, 2016 Show version history

Is there anything that needs to be enabled to see the Form Identification Pane in Quick Fields? I am using QF 9.0.0.427. I only have Retrieve PDF Form Content in the process list, there is not Form Identification there.

Am I missing something?

Sure. Check out the help file. All processes are described there regardless of which ones you purchased.

Form Identification applies to image forms, rather than PDFs. Say, for example, you scan tax forms. You can use Form Identification to sort out all 1040 forms and separate them from 1040EZ.

Forms Identification is a separate add-on. Based on our records, it doesn't look like any of your Quick Fields instances has that add-on.

Thank you, Miruna!

I am new to PDF scanning in Quick Fields, and am exploring the "Retrieve PDF Form Content", i.e. pull the  PDF Form fields data and map them one-to-one to template fields. It's working great with a batch of PDF Forms.

Would you give me an example of a need using "Forms Identification", or a link to read and understand it? Like to explore all the possibility...

Thanks!
