Question

can a document be deskewed after being stored in Laserfiche

asked on May 24, 2016

I have a customer who scanned & stored a document into Laserfiche & did not deskew it in the scanning process.  Once it is stored in Laserfiche - is there a way to deskew it - or does it need to be re-scanned into Laserfiche & the process done then?

Hi Karen,

If you don't have Quick Fields as an option, you can also use Photodocs to do image cleanup. Just right click the document in the client and select "Reprocess with Photodocs" and you're on your way!

Hope this helps answer your question! smileyyes

You're right, deskew isn't an option in photodocs, only crop and rotate.

Feature request! wink

I suppose it wouldn't make sense to make a feature request have a module feature from an additional fee module like quickfields into a out of the box tool like photodocs... but really, I would like to see photodocs and quickfields as the same tool. Having all these tools that do the same thing is so confusing!

Actually you don't need to re scan the documents.

Quick Fields can also re-process imaged or electronic documents that are already in Laserfiche.

use quickfields to deskew and then save them
