Question

Public vs. Restricted Forms

asked on May 20, 2016

We recently upgraded to LFF 10 - in the previous version, on the Access Rights page, there was an radio button for Public vs. Restricted access.  Where is that located in LFF 10?

Thanks!

It's still on the Access Rights page:

If you are not seeing it there you may not have the correct license installed on the Forms server.

Thanks, for the response Blake!

Looks like I have the correct version - any other ideas?

Have you checked to make sure you have the correct license installed? When you purchase Forms and the public portal for Forms, you are given 2 licenses.

Thanks, Blake.  I'll check that out.

The Public/Restricted options appear only if your Forms instance is activated using the Forms Portal license.

Hi Ege,

Thanks for the information.  I believe that we activated our Forms Portal license after we had been using the Forms instance for awhile.  Any idea how to correct that so that we can use the Public / Restricted options?

Thanks!

You should be able to use the ActivationTool.exe utility under the Program Files\Laserfiche\Server folder to reactivate your Laserfiche Forms with the correct license key. After doing that, restart your Laserfiche Forms Routing service and you should be good to go. You may also need to restart IIS - I haven't done it in a while so I'm not quite sure.
