Laserfiche office integration issue

asked on May 11, 2016

Hi

I tried to view a doc file in webaccess which pointed out that i should install LF Office Integeration. But when i installed it, LF Client generates an error every time i start client.

From the error it seems like LF Client was expecting this utilities dll to be of version 10 but it is 10.1 instead. I believe office utility updated this dll but not the client.

How can i resolve this issue. Would installing 10.1 update have any impact on client.

Thanks in advance.

The issue appears to be a bug.  The SCR for reference is 143459.  For now, please click on "Continue."

Just a reply to say I have that as well.  Clicking Yes still gets you to the Client.  I have tried a repair but it just says the Install failed and will roll back.  Have not removed it all yet but wanted to post saying I got the same thing.

This is a known issue, you can click Continue and everything will be fine. It's not due to any installation related scenario or interaction between different products, just your average run-of-the-mill bug. We'll have it addressed in an upcoming Client update in the near future.

Chris, errors on uninstall won't be related to this. You may want to contact Support on that one.

Thanks Justin.  Yeah, not too worried, its just on my test machine.  Can certainly wait unless it starts happening to others.

An update to my prior post, I rechecked the SCR listing and updating the Client itself to 10.1 should also make the message box go away, as that particular check is already removed from the 10.1 Client.

How do you search for scr listing? When i searched "scr: 143459" on support site nothing showed up but just scr alone showed up a lot of other results.

They are not exposed on the support site, but we provide them for future reference with support or future releases.
