Question

External Forms Server

asked on May 10, 2016 Show version history

I am setting up an external Forms server, where I am pointing it back to the internal (primary) forms server (database & primary forms URL). The external server is outside the client's network. I am needing to know what ports must be open to communicate with the SQL Server and to the Internal Forms Server?

Right now, I have ports 1433, 443, and 80. Are there any additional ports that must be open to implement this configuration?

Are you trying to setup a Perimeter Network (DMZ)?

If so you can refer to this white paper: https://support.laserfiche.com/GetFileRepositoryEntry.aspx?id=3481&mode=download

which details the setup and the necessary ports that need to be opened.
