I am currently running into an issue where a clients server is running on CST but they have documents that are being created in EST that aren't having to wait an hour before being picked up by LF Import Agent. Is there any setting or rule that can changed so that Import Agent accounts for that time difference? And if so, what steps need to be taken?
Question
Question
Import Agent has to wait to pick up documents from a different time zone
Replies
Import Agent determines when documents should be imported based off of the creation time. I had a similar issue with users having cameras and having said cameras with incorrect date and time. The cameras had their time and date set around 5 years ahead of the current date. Therefore Import Agent would never import those images/documents. You may have to set the server to not have the time updated via internet and set it to the EST time zone.
Hi Cristobal,
Thanks for the reply, what does Laserfiche say? Are we able to change the creation date?
Thank You
The Import Agent team is looking to address this in the next update.
Hi Charles,
We could not reproduce your issue by simply deploying Import Agent service and fetching the documents created in another time zone. Can you help clarify how to reproduce the issue? Thanks.
1. How are these documents created in EST?
2. Right click on the document, choose Properties, and attach the screenshot of the Document Properties General Tab, and show the Created Time, Modified Time in the EST machine, and then do the same operation in the CST machine.
3. How do you configure the monitored folder? Set the UNC path for monitoring, or the other ways?
Thanks.
