Question

configure laserfiche user in multiple repositories

asked on May 10, 2016 Show version history

In a multi-repository setup using Laserfiche users, the only users available for assignment are from the repository configured in the Forms Configuration page.  This only seems to allow for one repository.  How do you configure multiple repositories so all the users are available for assigning tasks to?

I believe that is not supported currently in forms to be connected to more than one repository concurrently. But this is something that could be a good item to be on wish list.

In Rio setups, there are 2 different ways for Forms to authenticate users: through a Laserfiche repository or through Laserfiche Directory Services. In the first case, Forms can only be tied to a single repository. In the second case, Windows and Laserfiche global accounts can be used to access Forms regardless of which repository they are trusted to log into. See the documentation for more information on single sign-on configuration for Laserfiche products.

That's great that they could access the forms but would Windows and Laserfiche global accounts solve the problem of assigning task to them?

I'm not sure what you mean. Participation in a process is a matter of user licensing, not of login method. Users with named read-write licenses can get user tasks assigned to them (regardless of whether they log in through Forms via the repository or through Directory Service).
