Question

Forms FQDN

asked on April 27, 2016

Hey folks,

Having an issue when I log into a new Forms 10 installation.

I can't figure out why Forms keeps dropping the FQDN when I authenticate, I can go to 'laserfiche.domain.ext/Forms' and it loads, I get the login prompt, but as soon as I authenticate via LFDS the server redirects me to 'laserfiche/Forms' which causes me to get a certificate error.  It does work if I bypass the certificate message but I'd rather eliminate that.

I can't figure out where to change this setting so it stays at the entire FQDN.  Even if after I'm logged in I go up and change the URL to the entire FQDN (ie: type in 'laserfiche.domain.ext/Forms') it will redirect me right back and drop the domain.ext portion.

Any ideas?  I went into Forms Configuration and the 'Primary Forms Server URL' is set correctly with the entire FQDN but I'm not sure where else I can check?

Thanks!

Currently, the forms server URL you specify isn't  saved to the LFDS section of the forms web.config file, so it uses the default, which is just the machine name.

For now, you can work around the issue:
1. Go to C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Forms\Forms\web.config
2. In the section

wsFederation persistentCookiesOnPassiveRedirects="true" passiveRedirectEnabled="false" realm="https://yourFormsMachine.com/Forms" reply="https://yourFormsMachine/Forms" issuer="https://yourLfdsMachine/LFDSSTS/" homeRealm="urn:laserfiche:lfdsdb:yourDBDisplayName" requireHttps="true"

Change the values for realm and reply from "https://yourFormsMachine/Forms" to "https://yourFormsMachine.yourDomain.com/Forms"
