More than 130 Laserfiche community members gathered at the Empower Middle East International Conference and Training held April 13–14, 2016, at the Hilton Habtoor Grand in Beirut, Lebanon.
The event was hosted by BMB Group, which is Laserfiche’s exclusive distributor in the Middle East and North Africa as well as a Laserfiche Million Dollar VAR. Attendees visited from countries around the world, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan and more.

This is BMB Group’s fifth time hosting the Empower Middle East conference in Beirut, gathering Laserfiche's community of users, resellers, support staff and product specialists in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions for two consecutive days.
This year’s conference announced the release of Laserfiche 10, allowing users in the Middle East and North Africa to come together and learn about innovative applications of Laserfiche Forms, business process management, integration strategies and ECM best practices.

Laserfiche Discussions, part of the recent Laserfiche 10 release, created buzz and enthusiasm during the conference, where attendees learned how this social collaboration tool can help users make faster decisions through effective collaboration across the organization.
The conference featured keynote sessions and more than 30 hands-on labs, workshops and product demos—where Laserfiche customers, partners and product specialists gained unique insight into how to improve efficiency with ECM. The conference and training also provided Laserfiche community members with an opportunity to network and personally exchange Laserfiche best practices.
“Empower Middle East 2016 introduced me to the amazing features in Laserfiche 10, and its new solutions that will help us improve our work on many different levels,” said Ghida El Masri, Information Systems Coordinator at American University of Beirut.
Hands-on learning opportunities provide conference attendees with Laserfiche best practices that they can take back to the office.
During the keynote, Mitri Doumet, CEO of BMB Group, and Chris Wacker, CEO of Laserfiche, paid a warm tribute to the vision and innovation of Laserfiche founder Nien-Ling Wacker. In addition, Sean Tang, Managing Director at Laserfiche International and Nizar Ghannam, Chief Operating Officer at BMB, discussed the Laserfiche product roadmap and the latest ways organizations in different industries are using the software to improve productivity.
