Assign task to a Role

Good day,

 

Would it be possible in the future versions to be able to assign a task to Role instead of a Group or User? 

 

For example a Finance Manager Role is used in multiple tasks in multiple processes. When this user goes on leave I can update the Finance Manager Role with another user. This saves me having to hunt down where this user is involved and edit each task. 

 

I know there is the group function but I would like to avoid the "assign to me" option.

I figured this out. I put only one user in a Team and then set Task Allocation to Round Robin. It then automcatically assigns the task to the only person.

Hi Ian,

The ability to assign tasks to roles is already available. If you choose to assign the task to a group you can then click the "Filter" drop down and choose "Create New Filter". In here you can then do something similar to this:
