I have some concerns regarding the Geolocation Field that was recently introduced to Laserfiche Forms. Our company operates vessels which can and often do travel to all corners of the globe.

My concerns are related to the accuracy and display of the Geolocation information within Forms.  Below I have attached the follow;

  •  Image 1 - The style of location reporting which is accurate and used within our company currently, with help from a third party organisation.

  • Image 2 - The Geolocation Field (Use current location) within my LF form; which does not match the style accurately used in image 1.

  • Image 3 - Then I took the information provided to me from this field in LF and tested its accuracy within Google but is around 3 miles out from our actual office location.

Accurate reporting in the Maritime industry is essential for day to day operations and ultimately safety at sea. I would like someone to address the above and see if the Geolocation feature can be developed to have correct coordinate reporting and ensure location accuracy is without fault; otherwise it is a feature we will not use.

If I am using the field incorrectly or the accuracy of the reporting is a fault of my own computer, please fee free to inform me.

Thanks!
