Forms 10.1 Sufficient Rights Error

asked on April 20, 2016 Show version history

We upgraded to Forms 10.1 yesterday and today when users go to check their My History and select an instance in the list, it opens a new window an then shows the following error:

We have tested randomly as far back as January and they still receive the error. Any ideas on what would be causing this?

UPDATE: I do not receive the error message when I check my history items. I'm not sure if that is because I am an admin though.

It also happens on ones that were both Started by the user or Involved the user.

A support case had been opened for this matter.

This error appears related to a browser caching issue. In non-IE browsers, clearing the cache seemed the fix the issue. However, for IE, the issue still occurred after clearing its cache.

A modification was made to Forms' partial.template.js file which then addressed the issue for IE.

If anyone else runs into this issue, please open a support case with your Laserfiche reseller.

Hi Blake,

I wasn't able to reproduce the issue, could you give me a bit more information? Was there any console error, or any error in the event viewer?

Also, have you tried clearing your cache and see if the error still persist?

There was no console error and there were no errors in the event viewer on the Forms server.

I will check with a few people in the morning after they have restarted their machines and cleared their browser caches to see if the problem persists.

Hi Blake,  I can't reproduce when a user only has submitter right to a process to open the instance he started.  If you close the error, can the user be able to view the form he submitted from action history? Can you try sign out Forms first, then sign in? Also can you test whether the error persistent if you grant process admin role to this user?

This morning I cleared a users browser cache and had them log in and try it again. The first time it opened correctly. I then closed the window and selected the history item again and then it gave the same error message. I tried again 3-4 times and the same error message was presented.

Once we click on Dismiss, it closes the window and then reloads the window with the same error.

We have a user that is a process admin on several processes and she was also receiving the same error message.
