Template Search 10.1 Issue?

Hi,

We've just upgraded a system to 10.1, prior to which we marked a particular field as "Indexed". Now it seems field and template searches do not work when searching this field (no hits found). If I run the same search using the syntax search it returns the correct results.

I noticed that when it transposed my template search into the syntax search that the ~ character was introduced, if I remove that it works.

If I try to remove the indexed flag then template searches on that field do not work (9519 error).


Anyone else?!

Further to the above, it seems that disabling the indexed attribute significantly improves the search performance (< 1 second compared to 5/6 seconds). I did need to log users off and on.

The issue with the search not bringing back results seemed to resolve itself so no explanation there.

Not sure if the issue was related to 10.1, enabling the indexed attribute or a combination of both but we've amended it now so it's back to normal.

Hi Nigel,

My  guess is that you happened to try this while there were some internal 10->10.1 updates going on, or the search engine was re-optimizing, but keep us posted if you still see any issues. We'll double-check as well, but I'm not aware of any expected issues there.
