Question

Workflow password expired - so now what?

asked on April 18, 2016 Show version history

Hi everyone!

I hit an interesting issue.  I had a workflow account where I forgot to check the box to ignore the password aging.

Oops. OK, so reset the password on the account and in the connection profile.

Now, connections work.  Except -

I had about 50 documents which had been at step 9 of a 10 step WF.  While the password issue was occurring, I had updated the metadata satisfying the criteria to move to step 10.  Since the password was broken at the time, nothing happened.

Now that I've fixed the account, now what?  Will it retry? Does something else need to happen?  Will I need to restart the workflows?

Thanks

Mike

If they terminated you'll have to restart them. If they're still running, you can put in a connection redirect so when it fails to connect with the original password, it will try the new one. That gives you time to update the connection profiles in each Workflow definition and republish them.
