Question about Forms 9.2.1 Update 1

asked on April 16, 2016 Show version history

One of the items on the Forms 9.2.1 Update 1 says:

  • Improved performance when populating fields from lookup data in a form. (138454)

Can we get more information on this? Exactly what type of performance improvements does it cover and under which scenarios?

The reason I ask is because there are a few other items on the update that can potentially interfere with our (heavily customized) forms, and I'm trying to decide if applying this update is worth the risk of breaking them.

It used to take very long to populate a field(like a dropdown) with lookup return value when there are many items in the return value: for example, it took 30 seconds when there are 40000 items. With 9.2.1 Update 1, the performance has been improved to only take 3 seconds when there are 40000 items.

Thanks! Are you also able to dig up the list of files that get replaced by this update? I want to make sure none of the files we customized get overwritten.
