Quick Fields - retrieving data from 2nd page

asked on April 16, 2016

Hi,

We currently have a QF's session that is usually only one page that populates the metadata in our records template.  Now we have to add an additional page and merge the data from both sheets into the same field and I wondering how we would be able to achieve this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Jennifer

Can you be more specific about what you are merging into the same field?  Do you mean something like a last name on the first page and a last name on the second page both need to go into the field for last name?

We used the QF session for storage boxes so one field is called "Contents" and all of the box information goes in that field.  We have noticed that at time more items go into the storage boxes than fit on one page so we need two pages of content information to fit in the one field.

Thank you.
Jen

Sounds like Token Accumulator and/or Token Editor might come in handy here.

Is your "Contents" field a multi-value field?  You should be able to take the information from the second page and append the value.

Hi Jennifer,

If

you use a multi classification session, the first class picks up the metadata from the first page, the second from the second page. Then use tokens to collect and merge the values.
