Question

Forms - Multiple Simultaneous Users rather than Teams?

asked on April 14, 2016

Hello,

I've recently upgraded a customer to Forms 10 and on one of their process, forms were assigned to a facility admin as well as a process administrator for failover reasons. In Forms 10, in order for these users to approve/reject forms, they now have to assign tasks to themselves. Is there a way to work around this extra step without editing every single user task, and simply rely on the old method of simultaneous user task assignment?

Thanks.

There is not. We did the same thing you had setup in Forms 9. So when we switched to Forms 10 all of the users tasks were in the Available tab. We first went into every process and removed the backup user because they are not needed anymore in Forms 10 because it no longer terminates the task and an admin can reassign tasks if necessary. After we removed that backup user from all user tasks we instructed users on how to go to the Available tab and assign the tasks to themselves. Since then things have been smooth sailing.

Yeah, just trying to find the "easier, softer way."

This is better in the end. Customer wanted metrics, they get metrics! Currently manually removing that backup user from all the user tasks (~100 of them) and thanking god I have a thumb trackball mouse.

I'd take your 100 over my 100 in 1 process. smiley
