Question

Email print/save to Laserfiche

asked on April 11, 2016

Hi,

Is it possible when saving/printing an email ( i just want the body of the email not saved as a .eml file) with its attachments probably PDF or anything into Laserfiche from outlook. The user are able to capture the information once on the Metadata and then they don't have to capture it twice or more depending on the attachments.

I will then use a workflow to append all the pages together.

Thanks

Gert

Hi Gert,

If you want the email body printed to Laserfiche without the header, you can double-click the email you want to print so it opens up in its own message window. Then click on Actions > View in Browser in the Message tab and a browser will open up displaying only the body of the email for you to print.  At that point you can use the Laserfiche Snapshot Driver to print the body directly into the repository.

As for PDF attachments, you can turn on the option under New Documents so upon import of PDF files pages are automatically generated.

Best,
